'Paul Baumer - All Quiet on the Western Front'
'During human War I, German passs lacked the supplies they needed in pose to hang in healthy enchantment they werent on the battlefield. In All lull on the occidental Front, Erich Maria Remarque stresses the enormousness of boots during the war. If a soldier were to lose his boots, his feet would cause horribly change and potenti all in all toldy infect because of all the dirt. Kemmerichs boots argon discussed by dint of chapters 1-3, because Remarque is hard to show the referee how important boots be to soldiers. In order for the soldiers to fight in the war, they needed well-made, leisurely boots.\nThe boots have signification during the war, because they argon prized possessions and soldiers unwrap their pride in them. Albert Kropp, pestle, and Paul, go to understand their friend Kemmerich who is in the hospital, and has recently had his offshoot amputated. Kemmerichs friends crystalise that he is about to die, so they bring him all of his belongings. Kemmer ichs boots ar quench in vast learn, and Paul notes to himself, They ar fine incline boots of soft, yellow welt which reach to the knees and roll up all the way- they argon things to be coveted  (Remarque 16). The commencement thing that Paul, pestle, and Kropp notice, are how good Kemmerichs boots are. Clearly, the soldiers boots, are not close to as in good shape as Kemmerichs boots are. His boots would be extremely steadying to a soldier during a battle. Muller asks Kemmerich for the boots, save, Kemmerich doesnt want to. They are his most prized possessions  (16). Muller fails to empathize with Kemmerich, and doesnt realize that the boots have clearly played an sizeableness in Kemmerichs life-time as a soldier. Muller tries to coax him to switch boots with his own, but Kemmerich refuses because of how important they are to him. The purpose of the photo is to show how materials could be vital to survival. Remarque shows the contributor that soldiers valued boots, and anything that could booster them get through the war... '
